Art Opening | Sacred Spaces

Kris Davidson will be showing selections from two different bodies of work at Riki, with April 25th as the opening reception. Sacred Spaces, a collection of mixed media photo/collage-paintings, is an exploration of the muted deeply personal and unexpected divinity in everyday places and memories. Working with a photojournalistic approach, a scene is photographed in sections and the individual images are then pieced together on canvas with paint to become something that alternates between reality and fiction, like a distant memory. Each individual photograph tells a story, but when pieced together with the other photographs, a greater sense of the physical and temporal space emerges.
Opening reception the 25th of April from 6-9 in 4037 24th street San Francisco.
