Cafe Grumpy

Fresh off the “Red Eye” with a long day ahead of us, we went straight down to Chelsea for the best latte ever at Cafe Grumpy. So smooth, soft and flavorful, well worth the walk on a very chilly New York morning (10 degrees F). I can assure you won’t be feeling grumpy anymore! And if you ever go to Washington D.C. check out the Big Bear Café.

Lara's Opening

Congratulations to Lara for a great exhibition. Thanks to all of you who came to enjoy this beautiful art work. Stay tuned for our next round of exhibits in all of our Riki locations.

Quality, Classic, Livable Riki

Many of you found it years ago and have been loving it ever since.

I became acquainted on a beautiful day last August—the day my fiancé moved to Berkeley after a cross-country trek from Georgia in our little ’77 MGB. Walking up Vine Street from Saul’s Deli, Riki’s polished window display arrested my attention. Such sophisticated clothes in exquisite fabrics, smartly styled. . .

And, a few months later, here I am.

I’ll be posting a couple times a week to let you know what’s happening in our three stores. I will keep you up on the movings and shaking's of artists and artisans in our neighborhoods. And for those of you who have discovered Riki Online, I’ll give you inside information on items available on our website before they are available in our stores.

After years of university work in frenetic downtown Atlanta, the East Bay has been a restorative and invigorating place to call home. I—lover of literature, the visual arts, cities-yet-to-visit, exceptional food, classic cars and classic clothes—am pleased to get to know you.

Warmly,

Jessica Tilley
