Riki in Paris

Lunch on Rue du Bac

It’s a beautiful fall day, crisp but sunny. We walked along the river Seine from our apartment in the 7eme to Dehillerin, the best place in Paris to buy top quality knives and other cookware. Stopped on the way on Rue du Bac for lunch “au terrace” (al fresco), where I was both stylish AND cozy warm in my black double-breasted sweater coat from Riki. Fashion flash: A trendy boutique on Rue du Bac had a window display featuring a tweed swing jacket that’s almost an exact replica of the one I brought with me from Riki fall 2006. Do we like being “fashion forward” in Paris? Mais, oui!

Riki in Paris

Shopping on Rue Clerc
Paris is truly timeless, with much of its charm stemming from the juxtaposition of old and new, classic and avante-garde. It’s why I love Paris. And also, by the way, why I love building my wardrobe, year after year, with great pieces from Riki. Here I am shopping at the trendy Rue Clerc marketplace (our apartment is one street over on Rue Duvivier), looking very “au courant” with my timeless pinstriped straight-leg pants and cashmere poncho from Riki. La piece de resistance: The pair of strappy black sandals and Francesco Biasia bag I got at Riki right before we left.
